What may be collected
The server may collect normal access logs such as IP address, timestamp, URL, referrer, browser user agent, and request status. Aggregate analytics may track page views, search use, command-copy clicks, support clicks, and outbound clicks.
How it is used
Traffic and interaction data help prioritize useful command cards, detect crawlers or abuse, improve page quality, and measure whether the site is financially sustainable.
Third parties
The site may link to services such as Buy Me a Coffee or future affiliate partners. Those services have their own privacy practices when you leave this site.
Advertising cookies
Ads are not required for the site to function. If advertising is enabled in the future, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on a visitor's prior visits to this site or other sites. Google's advertising cookies allow Google and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site and other sites on the internet. Google explains how it uses data from partner sites at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Advertising choices
Visitors can opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings. Some third-party personalized advertising choices may also be managed through industry opt-out resources such as AboutAds choices.
Theme preference
If you choose a color theme, Linux One Liners may store that preference in your browser so the site keeps the same appearance across pages. This preference is used only for display settings and is not used for advertising, analytics, or tracking. The local storage key is linuxoneliners.theme. The optional first-party cookie is lol_theme, lasts up to 1 year, uses SameSite=Lax and Secure, and is not used for advertising or tracking. You can reset the theme from the theme selector or clear site data in your browser.
Consent plan before ads go live
Ads are not currently enabled. Before Google-served ads are enabled, the site must decide whether to use personalized or non-personalized ads and must implement any consent handling required for visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland. If personalized ads or non-essential cookies/local storage require consent, the site should use a compliant consent management platform or keep those ad features disabled for those regions.
Raw replay files
Command replay TXT and JSON files are generated for transparency and tooling. They are not intended as standalone editorial pages, are excluded from normal sitemap listings, and should not carry advertising.
